FAQ
What size should I choose?
What size should I choose?
Every brand fits differently. The most reliable method is to measure your child’s foot — from the heel to the tip of the big toe.
If you have access to a printer, you can use our paper foot gauge. Otherwise, simply measure the foot length and refer to our size guide:
- Size 3: foot length between 10 and 11 cm
- Size 4: foot length between 11 and 12 cm
- Size 5: foot length between 12 and 13 cm
- Size 6: foot length between 13 and 14 cm
- Size 7: foot length between 14 and 15 cm

No worries – free exchanges within 30 days.
You can try the shoes on at home with complete peace of mind.
If the size isn’t quite right, simply send them back (as long as they’re unworn and in their original packaging).
Do they fit all foot shapes?
Do they fit all foot shapes?
Yes – Sautille shoes are designed to suit all types of little feet: slim, chubby, narrow or chunky.
Thanks to their adjustable fit and flexible material, they offer proper support while following the natural shape of the foot – never squeezing it.
For specific medical needs (e.g. foot deformities, instability, postural concerns), we strongly recommend consulting a healthcare professional such as a podiatrist or paediatric specialist before ordering.
Do you offer different width options?
Do you offer different width options?
There’s no need to choose between different widths with Sautille shoes.
Our soft, flexible design and adjustable velcro strap provide a snug, comfortable fit for both narrow and wider feet. The shoes naturally follow the shape of your toddler’s foot — simply select the right size based on foot length.
Should I size up or down?
Should I size up or down?
Absolutely not.
Even if our shoes might run slightly larger than some other brands, you shouldn’t size up or down to compensate. The only reliable method is to measure your child’s foot and follow our size guide.
Where can my child wear them?
Where can my child wear them?
At home, at nursery, in the garden, at the park, on the beach… Sautille shoes go wherever your child goes.
The soft, durable fabric is made to handle everyday adventures – even the messier ones.
They’re not fully waterproof, but they handle water very well. After a busy day, just pop them in the washing machine on a cold cycle (without the insoles) and they’ll come out like new.
How are they different from regular shoes?
How are they different from regular shoes?
At Sautille, we started with one belief: nothing beats barefoot walking for little ones learning to walk. That’s exactly what our shoes are designed to mimic – with precision and no compromises.
Unlike many traditional shoes – often stiff, tight, or heavy – Sautille respects the natural movement of growing feet with:
- Ultra-flexible soles, to support every step without getting in the way.
- Wide toe-box, so little toes can spread and move freely.
- Adjustable fit, to follow the shape of the foot with no pressure.
- Breathable mesh, comfy with or without socks.
- Featherlight feel, so it’s almost like being barefoot.
Don’t toddlers outgrow their shoes too quickly?
Don’t toddlers outgrow their shoes too quickly?
Between the ages of 1 and 2, little feet typically go up a size every 3 months.
That’s why every order comes with a foot-measuring guide. Just place your child’s foot on it to check when it’s time for the next size up.
At this stage, their feet are still developing. Poorly fitted shoes can limit that natural growth. The right shoes support it – gently, and at their own pace.
It’s a key stage where you don’t want to compromise. That’s why we offer discounts on multi-pairs and future orders.
